1.When thinking of buying a home the first thing that comes to mind is LOCATION, LOCATION, and LOCATION. Sometimes when you think about the perfect home that certain location or neighborhood that continues to pop up in your head might not be the best fit for your wallet but when you have an open mind your realtor can show you a variety of neighborhoods that in-return can lead you to a better house and more bang for your buck!
2. If you’re anything like me when you think about buying a home you may have a certain style in mind: Contemporary, Craftsmen, Victorian, Modern etc. but once you view different homes and see all variety of styles you might see that a different style home just might be a better fit for you and your family.
3.You and your partner might have different ideas of the size of home or how much land you may want, one of you may want a smaller house with more land or even a bigger house on smaller land. When your realtor takes you to view different houses be open minded to find something that meets in the middle and hits both of your criteria’s.
4.Fixer upper or move-in ready? That’s the biggest question of them all. You may want something that’s turnkey and your partner may want something you have to put a little work into. When you view homes you may see that going in the opposite direction of what you were initially thinking might end up being the best route and make your home exactly what you want it to be.
